Contextware Delivers Version 3.1
of Award Winning Technology
ANNANDALE, VA, August 12,
2008 – Contextware,
Inc., provider of software solutions that improve employee performance
and productivity,
today announced the release of version 3.1 of its namesake software. Contextware v3.1 improves
execution by
helping businesses to capture and communicate rich detail on how to
perform any
business process, procedure or best practice.
The software effectively delivers a workbench or
toolkit to end-users
that supports knowledge management, process improvement and performance
based
learning initiatives. Key elements of this release include new
collaborative
features for authors and end-users, streamlined pure-web business
process
authoring, new user-configurable reporting capabilities, and improved
end-user
productivity as a result of incorporating significant Web 2.0 Asynchronous Javascript and XML (AJAX)
components.
“There were
several drivers behind this latest release including
significant client input, our continued mission
to improve
software interfaces and ease of use, and a focus on delivering
technology that provides
an obvious return on investment,” stated David Austin, President of
Contextware. “Equally important, several of these new capabilities will
open
new markets for partners and us, particularly with those enterprises
seeking to
instantiate best practices across their organizations.”
Additional
detail on v3.1 appears below, and at the technology
section of
Contextware’s website.
Improved
Performance and Scalability:
Incorporation
of Web 2.0 Asynchronous Javascript and XML
(AJAX) components provides end-users
in customer support functions, or those with an on-demand need for
performance
support with rapid information access. System authors also
enjoy significant
speed gains as they codify processes, procedures and best practices.
Process
Improvement and Collaboration:
Many
organizations struggle to codify knowledge-rich
business processes and in turn communicate them in a clear manner to
employees
to perform. Contextware’s
new capability
to instantly clone processes and then re-engineer them based on user
interaction with the system and direct feedback is unique. Not only does this
capability allow for rapid
deployment of knowledge and information rich activities, it encourages
their
refinement and continued improvement.
Process
and Procedural Templates:
Developed
from industry standards and best
practices, version 3.1 makes available a discrete number of process
templates
including associated job aids and information. These templates are part
of a
growing library and intended as starting points for kick-starting
implementations and can be configured and extended to address the
distinct
requirements of clients’ enterprises.
