Management TeamDavid
I. Forbes Dave Forbes, co-founder of Contextware, serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technologist. As CEO, he is responsible for the execution of the company's financial objectives, and as Chief Technologist, Dave drives the technical vision and guides the product roadmap for the Contextware technology platform. An expert in information design with a passion for business process methodologies, Dave brings to Contextware two decades experience in media, marketing communications, visual design and usability engineering. Since the dawn of the commercial Web, Dave has aggressively pursued two parallel but strongly related interests — one, as a senior marketing professional, building brands, defining and executing strategy and launching products and services in a start-up environment; and two, and most challenging, that of an "information designer", designing application usability, graphical interfaces and defining, refining and automating organizational processes via Web-based applications. Prior to Contextware, Dave was responsible for branding, product marketing and usability engineering for a Kodak digital asset technology spinoff. Before that, he was responsible for corporate communications and product development for the D. Appleton Company, an early leader in business process thinking. Dave has also worked in corporate marketing, for advertising agencies, and in film and video production. He holds a BA in Advertising from Drake University. |
