Summary:
Generates software
and services sales in new and existing accounts with significant strategic
value to Contextware. The ideal applicant must be able to navigate the
complex sale and understand how to position technology as a component
of solving complex business issues. Must understand hunting as well as
farming. Will plan, organize, and lead sales cycles that focus on solving
client business issues. Maintains detailed knowledge of company's offerings,
competitive products, and target vertical industries. Maintains high-level
executive contact with accounts, focusing on the establishment and maintenance
of long-term strategic relationships. Provides guidance, leadership and
project management of strategic sales initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- This is a quota-carrying
position with focus on generating new business.
- Accurately strategize,
forecast, and plan sales cycles.
- Ability to aggressively
generate own leads, and follow up on those generated by marketing.
- Able to deliver
crisp, to the point, presentations in person and via the web.
- Learn and maintain
in-depth knowledge of Contextware products and technologies, competitors,
industry trends.
- Architect high-level
solutions that address clients' business problems.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 4 - 10 years direct
solutions selling experience
- Strong job tenure
with consistent history of achieving and/or exceeding quotas.
- Proven ability
to manage complex sales cycles.
- Excellent communication,
negotiation, and closing skills.
- Detailed experience
with content management, knowledge management or portal software is
a plus.
- Excellent attitude,
superior organization skills and a highly motivated self-starter.
- Must have Bachelor's
degree; BS/MS in Computer Science, Business, Finance (preferred).

Implementation
Consultant
The
Implementation Consultant’s role is to provide on-site consultation,
training, and project management services to our customer base.
Consulting activities will include: conducting business process
reviews; performing analysis to determine the most efficient means to
implement our solutions while meeting the client’s business
requirements; developing a project timeline; providing user training;
and any other activities required to successfully implement the
client’s solution.
The ideal
candidate should be capable and willing to acquire a high level of
knowledge concerning our clients’ business activities that will enable
him or her to provide consultation and strategic guidance in the
effective use of Contextware’s software.
Applicants
must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and a
collaborative, consultative approach towards all of their work.
Responsibilities:
- Provide
on-site consulting, project management, and training services for
customers – review and document customer business processes using
Contextware software; establish project priorities, milestones and
timeline with customer project lead; train all levels of users; provide
progress reports to customer’s management team as required.
- Provide as-needed consulting services including: ad hoc training; business process consultation; and reports development.
- Document activities, progress and issues after each customer visit or conversation.
- Provide
feedback to product team members concerning software issues, project
status, and business and functionality requirements.
- Assist
with and/or manage documentation, including the technical/knowledge
base, user guides, training materials, and release notes.
- Provide product support via telephone and internet during non-travel periods.
- Assist with software testing.
- Complete or support special projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Professional
experience developing and implementing business process, sales force
automation, customer relationship management or learning/training
software solutions.
- 5 – 8 years
experience as billable consultant or in operational role such as
finance, human resources, information technology or sales and marketing.
- Professional experience as a billable consultant is preferred
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%
- 4 year degree and or equivalent experience is required, Masters degree is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent customer relations skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and issues resolution.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Fundamental knowledge of PC hardware, peripherals, operating systems, networks, and the internet
- Based in Washington, DC metro area.

Consultant/Engineer
Summary:
Supports pre-sales
and post sales efforts with the client on to understand, influence and
respond to specific business and technical requirements. Defines solutions
in the context of the specific sales opportunity and ensures that the
design results in a deliverable, scaleable and ultimately highly customer
satisfaction focused result. Empowers the client to ‘own’
solution.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical
and design leadership as part of client and partner teams to build application
solutions and/or deploy software.
- Rapid facilitation
and capture of critical business processes and implementation of software
in large government and commercial organizations.
- Generate high-quality
project documentation, such as statements of work, project plans, design
documents, test plans, etc.
- Participate in
implementations using structured techniques.
- Provide architectural
design and technical implementation services.
- Provide technical
solution scoping and proposal development (pre-sales).
- Track and communicate
status of assignments accurately.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years
of experience in a consulting and/or implementation role, with clear
progression through progressively senior technical roles.
- Superior writing
and interpersonal skills.
- 3+ years experience
with Oracle, MySQL and SQL Server databases including strong SQL skills.
- Knowledge of Windows
2000, NT, and Linux operating systems.
- Experience using
AJAX, Java, XML, XSLT in developing Web applications.
- Familiar with web
development methods including the use of Java Script, JSP and HTML.
- Experience with
formal structured design, development and testing techniques.
- Solid work ethic
and able to work independently.
- Willingness to
travel, at times up to 4 days per week.
- Ability to work
independently to identify, qualify and help pursue additional revenue
generating services opportunities at the client location.
- Must have a Bachelor's
degree, technical discipline preferred.
